Talking compounds in Uganda

The VIA programme is reaching out to young people and policymakers thanks to Safe Way Right Way and TotalEnergies Uganda. VIA ambassadors are showing an amazing level of confidence and authority. Their capacity of influence on their fellow students and teachers is growing. They have now the confidence to approach the administration. Concrete initiatives have already been taken to make walking to school safer, for instance by cutting bushes from the side road. Talking compounds about safe mobility emerged as a good practice that can be scaled up in a sustainable way to a larger number of schools
